'Starfleet Security' was created using an Apple iPad and Pencil on Clip Studio Paint software. Took around 3 hours from start to finish. Fun Fact: The hand holding the phaser is actually mine. I struggle to find a suitable reference image on the internet so I took my own Phaser prop and photographed it holding it in a way that would match the image. Really happy with how it turned out.

Conceptually, I draw some rough outlines, generally using reference materials such as photographs which then leads to 'inking' the outlines. Moving onto colour and shading (which can be tricky for me) before moving onto the background. In this image I contemplated having the officer on the inside of a star ship, before deciding that he would be on an away mission on some baron moon. Finally adding text and any additional aesthetic details.
